Parent-Child Classes
The Waldorf School of St. Louis’ Parent-Child Program provides education and resources for caregivers and their children. Participants come together in an inviting environment that echoes the rhythms of a Waldorf Early Childhood classroom, where young children are encouraged to experience and explore the world through imaginative play. These classes offer caregivers a place to connect, discuss child development and parenting techniques, create seasonal arts and crafts, and learn about Waldorf education with an experienced classroom teacher.

Parent-Infant
Expecting Parents to 18 months
This class provides a nurturing atmosphere to explore early childhood's beautiful and natural unfolding stages. Parents learn simple songs and games to play with their children and develop their ability to quietly observe and interpret children’s movements, gestures, and vocalizations. The class aims to build on parents’ intuitive knowledge, helping them better understand how to be with their children and let them be.

Parent-Toddler
18 months to 3.5 years old
Caregivers and children come together in a nurturing environment that echoes the rhythms and atmosphere of a Waldorf Early Childhood program. Parent-Toddler offers children a gentle introduction to the group setting and serves as a bridge between home and preschool. Parents often create life-long friendships as they journey together, sharing the wonder and magic of their children’s early years. The gentle, rhythmic structure of the class includes circle time, simple songs, bread baking, exploration, and outdoor play. Parents and caregivers can participate in various activities under the guidance of an experienced Waldorf Early Childhood teacher.
